The Roots of Melanated Berries
At Melanated Berries, we're passionate about connecting our community to the heart of where it all begins: our local farmers. We proudly partner with farmers in surrounding areas to source the freshest, highest-quality produce for our seasonal jams and strawberries. By working closely with them, we ensure every bite of your favorite treats is crafted from fruits harvested at their peak. Here, we celebrate these farmers and the relationships we've cultivated to bring you the flavors you love from Melanated Berries.

Two Creek Farm
Interested in no-till farming since the early 2000’s. Kip always wondered why higher education and government always pushed no-till farming practices on large farms but not in small gardens. No-till agriculture builds up the soil, conserving water, fuel and ultimately being less work. Curious if it would work in their garden and how it would look, they experimented with many different techniques.Today, the Beams farm almost two acres with the no-till system that has allowed them to reduce labor, water, and fertilizer and remove all chemical spraying. This naturally created an organic product and led them to completing r organic certification in May of 2023.
The Beams based in Blythewood, South Carolina attract customers to their markets in Fort Mill, Rock Hill and Blythewood with diverse offerings of fruits and vegetables. They grow anything that performs well with their no-till system so chemical spray won’t be necessary.
They abide by four major principles in their production system:
1.Never leave the soil uncovered
2.Till as little as possible
3.Rotate crops
4.Use as many heirlooms as possible with an overall focus on favor.
With that, they bring a very wholesome, delicious, certified organic product that is on a farming scale that two people can grow.
